Our Story

Over the years, we travelled across a multitude of locations, some near and some far, exploring cultures, experiencing things, and taking in a plethora of magical sights. We pulled off nine-to-fives (let’s be honest, they were more like nine-to-eights) and made it to our 9 PM dinner reservations. We got used to a fast-paced life, forgetting how important it is to press the brakes from time-to-time and create our own stories. Did we lose sight of the bigger picture? Maybe, because it took a global pandemic to slow us down and take a breather. As we were forced to relook our lives, we found ourselves reaffirming long-forgotten beliefs we once held true. And thus, Ara Living was born.

At Ara Living, we believe that holding on to one another is more important than trying to hold onto a stronger WiFi signal; that navigating overgrown grass is more soothing for the soul than navigating the hustle and bustle of modern life; and that a tree full of birds can be the sweetest musical start and end to your day. We believe that less is more. Most importantly, we believe that each individual should be given the space and freedom to express their own unique stories.

Our products are not intended to be the centerpieces of your tables and countertops, serving as distractions from your true self. Our minimal aesthetic is intended to facilitate the potential of your creativity, your desires, your story. As a blank canvas is to an artist, so are our dinner plates to your edible creations, our coffee mugs to your morning essentials, and our baking dishes to your sweet or savoury fantasies.
